I wouldn't call a meaningful sequence of words from a certain context philosophy. (Although nowadays everything is referred to as philosophy.) You can collect and structure information, correct and edit texts, have them translated (although AI often produces nonsense, as I regularly experience) and brainstorm. However, AI gets tangled up as soon as it goes into depth, AI hallucinates knowledge and invents confusing examples.
I see AI as a tool, not as a philosophical discussion partner or colleague. And certainly not as an essayist who can write texts, as some of my students believe.
